Dubble film emerged from a partnership between Dubble and Kono. Together they created photographic film called Dubblefilm Sunstroke and Dubblefilm Moonstroke.
Both are Kodak’s base film, pre-exposed to feature that unique color effect based on the Dubble App. Pre-exposure is done with the Kono’s reanimator.
I was not happy with the result and I have many doubts.
In summary, in almost all my images:
- There is not much detail,
- Low definition,
- effect is almost not noticeable,
- Some grain,
- Under-exposed images have the effect of less color, noticeable and poorer qualit
With these results come many questions and the one that bothers me most is whether the develop has some blame in these results. We send our color film to a lab so it’s out of our control. Besides, I think we did everything right. Exposure, ISO, photometric …
However, it seems that these creative films need light. On this day it was not always possible to have a photometry in which you could expose +1 stop. We went for the supposed “correct photometry” and sometimes under-exposed.
I conclude that may be it. It is better to photograph this type of film when we have a good light.
Dubble film surgiu de uma parceria entre a Dubble e a Kono. Juntos criaram película fotográfica chamada Dubblefilm Sunstroke e Dubblefilm Moonstroke.
Ambos são filme de base Kodak, pré-expostos para apresentar aquele efeito de cor único baseado na App Dubble. A pré-exposição é feita com a maquina Kono’s reanimator.
Não fiquei feliz com o resultado e tenho muitas dúvidas.
Resumindo, em quase todas as minhas imagens:
Não há muito detalhe,
Pouca definição,
Efeito não quase não se nota,
Algum grão,
Imagens sub-expostas tem o efeito de cor menos, visível e mais má qualidade.
Com estes resultados surgem muitas dúvidas e a aquela que mais me incomoda é se a revelação tem alguma culpa nestes resultados. Nós enviamos os nossos rolos a cores para um laboratório por isso fica fora do nosso alcance esse controlo. De resto, penso que fizemos tudo certo. Exposição, ISO, fotometria…
No entanto, parece que estes rolos criativos necessitam de luz. Neste dia não foi sempre possível ter uma fotometria em que conseguisse expor +1 stop. Ficámos pela suposta “fotometria correcta” e por vezes sub-expomos.
Concluo que pode ser disso. Mais vale fotografar este tipo de rolo quando temos uma boa luz.
